I Don’t Have Weight Issues But I Have Belly Fat

The question, “When I step on the scale, my weight doesn’t look high, but my belly sticks out. What is the reason for this, and what should I do?” is one of the most common concerns we encounter.
The reason for this is that even if your weight is low or normal, your body fat percentage may be high. A low weight with a high fat percentage can still lead to a protruding belly!
Even if a person has an ideal weight, a high fat percentage can cause certain areas of the body, especially the abdominal and waist regions, to appear overweight.

What is the solution?

The healthy and effective solution is to follow a nutrition and exercise program that increases muscle mass and reduces body fat percentage, while maintaining an ideal weight.
Fat accumulation around the abdomen and waist is not only an aesthetic concern but can also indicate certain health risks. People with fat concentrated in the abdominal and waist areas have a higher risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and other health issues.

How can you maintain an ideal fat percentage through nutrition?

  1. Limit consumption of sugary foods.
  2. Avoid packaged and processed products.
  3. Do not skip meals.
  4. Practice portion control.
  5. Drink the daily recommended amount of water.
  6. While developing healthy eating habits that suit your daily routine, also establish a consistent exercise habit and maintain daily physical activity.
